Whole Foods is coming to Cobble Hill’s Smith Street

According to Crain’s, Whole Foods has signed a lease to take over the corner storefront at 182 Smith Street between Warren Street and Wyckoff Street, right on the border of Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill. The approx. 35,000 square feet space was recently vacated by Rite Aid following the pharmacy chain’s ongoing bankruptcy closures. While rumors of a grocery store taking over the spot have been swirling, the newly inked lease confirms that the national grocer is planting its flag on Smith Street. Because the lease was just signed, there is no official timeline yet for the build-out or opening day. We will keep you updated as construction begins and opening details are announced!
