Nehprii Amenii’s HUMAN | An Octopus, a Seahorse, and the Fate of Humanity
This family-friendly mythic theatrical experience blends puppetry, music, and movement in a world where humans are extinct. The Octopus needs to decide if it will give up one of its three hearts in order to create a new, more sensitive human being and give humanity a second chance.
Public Program: Free Puppet-Making Workshop
July 10, 6 pm
July 11, 12:30 pm and 6 pm
The Shed
Before each performance of HUMAN, the public is invited to transform trash and upcycled materials into puppets in a free community art experience. Participants will then activate their puppetry creations in a small parade that leads audiences through The Shed —crossing a ritual threshold into the world of the play where humans no longer exist.
