Brooklyn Paramount reopens as music venue in Downtown Brooklyn

Downtown Brooklyn’s iconic Brooklyn Paramount will return and kick off its grand opening season in March! A multi-year and multi-million dollar renovation honors the building’s nearly 100-year history, while creating a new 2,700 capacity music venue. More than 45 shows are now on sale including Damian and Stephen Marley, PinkPantheress, Norah Jones, Mariah The Scientist, and Brooklyn native Busta Rhymes – with more acts to be announced in the coming weeks.

The transformation of the building adjacent to LIU at 385 Flatbush Avenue Extension includes a sloped floor for optimal viewing for all fans, seven bars, member boxes and a VIP lounge, inspired by Ms. Fitzgerald’s 1950s performances. The venue will also serve as an event space for corporate and private events, Town Halls, social gatherings, holiday events and more.

Originally built as a movie palace in 1928, the space evolved with the times to host jazz, R&B and rock ‘n roll. It turned into a basketball arena for Long Island University in 1962. Long Island University and Live Nation are now partners at Brooklyn Paramount and Live Nation’s Venue Nation will be operating Brooklyn Paramount.
