Cobble Hill news – new coding school for kids, family-friendly tap room and jewelry store

Penguin Coding School is now open at 156 Smith Street teaching coding to ages 5 to 18 including robotics, Roblox, Phyton and Minecraft. They offer after school programming and camps at this new location in Cobble Hill and everybody can take a free trial class before commiting. They also pick up students from nearby schools for the after school programs. Find out more here.

TALEA Cobble Hill is a new spacious and colorful tap room at 61 Bergen Street founded by a local mom. It is open for coffee, tea, beer, cocktails, wine and snacks with indoor and outdoor seating available. Their popular stroller specials on Tuesdays from 12 to 6 pm include $3 off plates and the 5th flight pour free. Plates include Nutella & Pretzels, Bavarian pretzel, cheese plate and hummus.

Fine jewelry brand Gorjana from California with stores in Williamsburg, Nolita and the West Village is opening a location at 140 Smith Street in Cobble Hill on Monday, 11/7. Check out their designs here.
