Downtown Brooklyn real estate news – condos, rentals and affordable housing

Brooklyn-based real estate development firm Tankhouse has kicked off sales for Nine Chapel offering 27 condos with outdoor space in Downtown Brooklyn. The 14-story tower features homes ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms, and amenities include a fitness studio with floor-to-ceiling windows, a shared lounge, and dedicated bike storage. Pricing begins at $1,040,000 for a one-bedroom home.

Hanson Place Community Plaza is a newly constructed 13 story building with 87 affordable units located at 142 South Portland Avenue. The building will have rents affordable to extremely low- to moderate-income households and will incorporate sustainable design features and amenities such as On-site residential manager, multi-purpose room, stainless steel energy-efficient appliances, air conditioner, rooftop terrace, bike storage and elevators. There are 17 2-bedroom units for a monthly rent ranging from $1,364 – $3,173 and 9 3-bedroom units for $3,654 – $1,564 depending on the household size and income. Apply by February 14 here.

Alloy Development is now leasing for 395 newly constructed apartments at 505 State Street, the all-electric 44-story skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn. The lottery for the additional 45 affordable units has closed. Each of the new apartments includes exposed nine- to 12-foot concrete ceilings and columns, oak wood flooring and energy efficient operable windows.The building features amenities like bike storage room, in-building laundry, a pet wash and a Bodega. The building also offers a 3,000-square-foot gym, a yoga studio, grow room, playspace for children, reservable lounge, screening room and a workspace.
