This week is packed with Hanukkah celebrations for families and a new discounted Kids Skate & Play series on Thursdays at Industry City.

Chanukah at Jane’s Carousel | DUMBO | 12/20

Families are invited to join the Chanukah party at Jane’s Carousel in Brooklyn Bridge Park hosted by the Chabad of DUMBO and DUMBO Gan preschool. Ice Menorah Lighting at 4.30 pm. Free rides, Hanukkah crafts and more. Suggested donation per family $20 in cash please. Free RSVP here.

Chanukkah Celebration | Atlantic Terminal Mall | 12/20

Join the Chabad Jewish Center of Prospect Heights and Atlantic Terminal Mall for a special Chanukkah celebration! The event will take place on the ground floor of Atlantic Terminal near Rumi from 4:00-5:30PM. The menorah exterior lighting & show will take place on Atlantic Terminal’s exterior plaza from 5:30-6:00 PM. Chanukah at Carroll Park | Carroll Gardens | 12/20

Meet Santa & Cookie Decorating | Camp City Point | Wednesday

Families with kids looking to spend time with the big, jolly man himself, & then spend the afternoon in outer space in our immersive Cosmic CAMP show! $30 per child this Wednesday from 1 to 5 pm. Tickets here.

Santa Land | Atlantic Terminal Mall | Daily

Family Skate & Play | Industry City | Thursdays

Mommy Poppins has teamed up with Brooklyn Bridge Parents and Industry City to create exclusive Skate + Play packages, including ice skating admission, skate rental plus unlimited play in the game room at the IC Skating Rink for a discounted price. McNally Jackson bookstore is hosting free story times upstairs in their children’s section Wednesdays and Thursdays at 4 pm and Sundays at 1 pm for ages 4 to 8. No RSVP required, just show up.

Ice skating | Various neighborhoods | Various dates

The outdoor ice skating rinks in Prospect Park, Industry City, at Brooklyn Commons in Downtown Brooklyn as well as the Artrink at Brooklyn Children’s Museum are now open until end of February or even March. Find out more here.

Lightscape | Brooklyn Botanic Garden | Various dates

Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s after-dark, illuminated spectacular returns on November 16, 2022. This year’s trail shines with over a million lights and features new works of art by both local and international artists along with the returning iconic Winter Cathedral and a reimagined Fire Garden. Lightscape runs on select dates through January 8, 2023. Nonmember regular admission tickets are $40 and $20 for children ages 3 to 12.
