John Paul Jones Park’s annual tree lighting will include Santa, musical performances, and light refreshments. In addition to the beautiful tree, the view of the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge in the background makes this tree lighting even more special!

The Seaport Holiday Tree Lighting | The Seaport

Tuesday, December 2 | 6-8pm 

The Seaport will host their annual holiday tree lighting on December 2. Come early for holiday shopping and seasonal bites at at Tin Building, Mure + Grand, Maum Market, Lawn Club, Willet’s. Plus, enjoy live music performances by Dueling Pianos, Brooklyn Drumline, and The Doo Wop Project. The tree (at the corner of Water & Fulton Streets) will be lit at 7pm, followed by a meet and greet with Santa!

Take advantage of free admission hours at the New York Aquarium form 3-6pm on Wednesdays. Note that advance timed tickets are required (max of 4 per group); the Wednesday Afternoon Ticket Store will open on Monday at 3:00 pm for that Wednesday’s reservations.

District 13 Dual Language Fair | Prospect Heights

The District 13 Dual Language Fair will take place at MS 915 Bridges (29 6th Ave). This event will have presentations and performances from the local schools who have a French or Spanish dual language program, perfect for families who are curious to learn if a DLP program might be a good fit for their student. There will be a presentation from NYC Schools regarding admissions to a bilingual program to help provide clarity on the process. Children encouraged to join. There will be student performances and a book swap! Bring an old French or Spanish book and grab a new one!

New York Stock Exchange Tree Lighting | Financial District

Join for the 102nd annual New York Stock Exchange’s holiday tree lighting! There will be refreshments and snacks, plus live performances by the PS 150 Children’s Choir, School of Rock, NYC Gay Men’s Chorus, The Brass Queens, and the NYSE house band The Hit Squad.

DUMBO Tree Lighting | DUMBO

Thursday, December 4 | 4-7pm

DUMBO’s Holiday Tree Lighting will take place in the Dumbo Archway and Plaza, with the tree lit at 5:30pm sharp! There will be photos with Santa, live music by Curtis J. Social and the DUMBO house band, and performances by students from PS307 and Dock Street Middle School. There will also be hot cocoa, sweet treats, mulled cider for sale, and holiday projects on the side of the Manhattan Bridge. Guests are encouraged to bring unwrapped toys for children ages 0–14 for the 84th Precinct’s Operation Sleigh Ride and packaged non-perishables for the Vinegar Hill Pantry Food Drive.

With a new location at 362 Van Brunt Street, the Red Hook Pinball Museum is now open for free play (with donations accepted) every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 1-10pm! It’s NYC’s only vintage pinball museum, with games from 1871-1971, and you can play on the first pinball machine ever made!

parkrun is a free, worldwide, weekly event where people of all ages and abilities walk, jog, run, or volunteer in a 5k event on Saturday mornings–in Brooklyn, you can join every week in Brooklyn Bridge Park! Brooklyn Pop-Up is hosting a holiday market at Royal Palms Shuffleboard, a lively hangout with 10 shuffleboard courts, board games, tropical drinks, great food, friendly staff & strong vibes. This spot is usually 21+, except for Sundays when all ages are welcome! So bring the whole family to enjoy some shuffleboard and shopping. There will be music, drinks, and 25 local makers within the artisans’ market.

Starting this week, the Environmental Education Center will have Open Hours on Sundays from 1-5pm!
