Free outdoor workouts in Brooklyn in 2026

Brooklyn’s free outdoor fitness season is back, with morning yoga, sunset stretching, weekday bootcamps, and Saturday dance cardio spread across the borough’s waterfront parks and green spaces. Below: this year’s confirmed lineup at Brooklyn Bridge Park, Fort Greene Park, Prospect Park, and Domino Park. Most programs run May through September; some go later into the fall.

Brooklyn Bridge Park

Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Waterfront Workouts series runs May through September. All classes are free and all-level; registration and a waiver are required.
Pilates with Dodge YMCA | Pier 3 Central Lawn Sundays, 10:30–11:30am | May 10 through September 27 | Skips May 24, July 5, September 6 | Register here

Stretch and strengthen with free weekly Pilates classes led by Dodge YMCA. This all-level class is open to all ages and abilities.

Get your blood pumping with free Zumba led by Dodge YMCA. A fusion of Latin and international music with dance themes that create a fun, effective workout.

Sunset Yoga with Abhaya Yoga | Pier 3 Central Lawn Tuesdays, 6–7pm | May 5 through September 29 | Register here
De-stress at the end of the day with a free evening yoga class led by Abhaya Yoga. Postures, breathing, relaxation, and meditation, with the river as backdrop.

Amp’d Bootcamp with Chelsea Piers Fitness | Pier 2 Turf Wednesdays, 6–7pm | May 6 through September 30 | Register here
Push yourself with this free Amp’d Bootcamp led by Chelsea Piers Fitness. One hour, all levels, and as much intensity as you bring to it.

Morning Yoga with Abhaya Yoga | Pier 3 Central Lawn Saturdays, 9:30–10:30am | May 9 through September 26 | Skips May 23, July 4, September 5 | Register here
Start your weekend with a free, relaxing and strengthening yoga session led by Abhaya Yoga. All-level, all ages.
Two additional fitness offerings will start in late May — one as part of Waterfront Workouts, one independent of the series — and will be added here once Brooklyn Bridge Park announces them.

Fort Greene Park

Bring your own mat or towel — they’re not provided. Come prepared with water and sunblock.

Bootcamp with Chelsea Piers Fitness | Top of Fort Greene Park (next to the monument)

A free, high-intensity interval training class with Chelsea Piers’ Coach Declan Julien at the top of Fort Greene Park, right next to the monument. Bodyweight strength and cardio, all levels welcome.

Shala Yoga in Fort Greene Park | Eastern Panel of the Monument
Starting Saturday, May 10 | Schedule here

Shala Yoga’s season of free vinyasa-style yoga in Fort Greene Park begins May 10, with rotating Shala teachers leading classes on the Eastern Panel of the Monument. First-come, first-served. Bring a mat and water.

A one-morning family fitness event with Chelsea Piers Fitness and other partners. Free, family-friendly activities throughout the park.

Prospect Park

Brooklyn Flow Yoga | North Long Meadow
Thursdays, 7–8pm | Register here

Brooklyn Flow and the Prospect Park Alliance present free, outdoor yoga on the Long Meadow with rotating instructors from Brooklyn yoga studios. Enter the park at the Garfield Place + Prospect Park West gate or Grand Army Plaza and walk to the meadow. All levels welcome. Bring your own mat, towel, and water.

Dance Fitness with Shape Up NYC | Prospect Park Boathouse
Saturdays, 10–11am | May 3 through November 1 | No registration required

A free, fun-filled dance fitness Zumba class at the Boathouse, presented by the Prospect Park Alliance and Shape Up NYC. All levels welcome. Whether you want to learn new choreography or just step-touch and sing, this class is for you.

Brooklyn Commons Park (Downtown Brooklyn)

Table Tennis Thursdays is currentkly taking Team DBP hosts free outdoor table tennis at Brooklyn Commons Park — grab a paddle, find a partner, and play a few friendly lunchtime rounds. All ages welcome.

Domino Park

Summer Fitness Series | Flex Field Saturdays, 10–11am | Full schedule and RSVP here

Every Saturday morning, Domino Park hosts a different free outdoor class on the Flex Field – Pilates, yoga, boxing, and dance cardio rotate week to week, all led by local fitness studios and pros. Free and open to all (ages 13+); RSVP via the Domino Park events page.
