The new International Charter School of New York (ICS) was recently featured in the New York Times “inside the three-year effort to open an economically diverse, academically rigorous charter in Brooklyn”.
ICS has around 10 spots still open for this school year for Kindergarteners (born in 2010) and 1st graders (born in 2009). Register here. Registration for the 2016/2017 lottery will open in spring 2016.
The school is located at 55 Willoughby Street in Downtown Brooklyn. It has a two-year lease in the 27,000-square-foot building of the Brooklyn Friends School that recently moved a new high school building. While the school cannot announce its new location yet beyond the two years lease, they did confirm to us that they will definitely find a new location within school district 13.
