Brooklyn Music School has entered into a partnership with Gotham Group that will lead to a new 20,000 square foot BMS Music and Performing Arts Center that will be fully owned by BMS and located adjacent to their historic facility on Felix Street.
- The new facility will be constructed without requiring BMS to go offline
- The new facility more than doubles their instructional space and provides a home that is fully accessible, safe, and acoustically designed as a state-of-the-art music school
- BMS will add a new dance and recital space, a Digital Music Lab, a recording studio, and a music video production lab
In addition to expanding the school’s existing facilities to meet growing demand, the project will also create 120 new residential units with 36 of those reserved for moderate-income households earning 70 to 100 percent of the area median income.
