Your Dance School in Brooklyn: The School at the Mark Morris Dance Center (sponsored)

The School at the Mark Morris Dance Center offers dance classes in different styles and levels for Children and Teens ages 6 to 18 years. The School has classes in Jazz, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Modern/Contemporary, Tap, and West African, as well as Music and Singing. Each class in the Children and Teens program takes place weekly over the course of two 16-week semesters, allowing students consistency that supports growth in understanding over time. Classes in the lower levels are 45 minutes and gradually progress to 90 minutes at the upper levels. The School also offers classes for little ones, including We Dance: Toddler and Grown-up Movement (ages newborn to 4 years) and Creative Dance (ages 4-6). The School at the Mark Morris Dance Center, located in the heart of the Brooklyn Cultural District, is affiliated with the world-renowned Mark Morris Dance Group. Its diverse and professional faculty provides progressive, non-competitive, and inclusive instruction with classes accompanied by live music whenever possible.
