Public zoned & un-zoned elementary school admissions open 11/30
NYC families with children born in 2012 who are applying to Kindergarten for the 2017-2018 school year can apply beginning Wednesday, November 30, 2016 online (deadline is January, 13th 2017). To search for your zoned neighborhood school, click here. There are various un-zoned “choice” schools, students from District 13 and 15 can apply to as well (including those with dual language programs). Parents will be able to list up to 12 choices on their application for Kindergarten (not including charter schools or gifted and talented programs), so you can rank other un-zoned and zoned schools in and out of the neighborhood. Offer letters will be sent out in March 2017.

Lottery applications for Charter Schools are open now
You can now apply for most lotteries at Charter schools in District 13 and 15 directly with each school on their website. Most charter schools have calendar year cut-off and all are free like public schools.
