Food news
- Tous les Jours bakery is opening next to Devocion coffee shop in the Front & York building offering daily freshly baked breads, cakes, pastries and coffee. No opening date has been set while the space is under construction.
- ABK Kitchens is rolling out a 300-seat restaurant in the Empire Stores, read more here.
- Outdoor dining has been added to Nobody Told Me on Front and Bridge and a few other restaurants in DUMBO.
- Coming soon to 28 Jay Street, Fontainhas, a new Indian-inspired cafe and store offering natural wines, chai tea, coffee, Indian tapas and more.
- Ippudo V Japanese Ramen in DUMBO Heights seems fully built out, however no opening date has been set.
- The Sushi restaurant Kinjo opening later this year next to the library is under construction.

- City Chemist on Jay Street is closing at the end of May. They will be missed!
- The K-9 Butcher offering grass fed pastured and organic raw dog food is opening soon on John Street (corner of Jay)
- KITH Kids upscale fashion brand will be opening a store in the former JCrew space in the Empire Store
Events
- DUMBO Family Games are kicking off on car-free Washington Street on Sunday, May 19 for the season. The free event series will be running through September on Sundays from 11 am to 1 pm with free kids activities and a community hang! Curated by the DUMBO BID x Brooklyn Bridge Parents and supported by Leaf Medical & Leaf Dental in DUMBO.
