Free kid-friendly events this week in Brooklyn (1/26-2/1)

This week is packed with wintertime fun for Brooklyn kids of all ages! Calling all toddlers and preschoolers–TODDLERTOPIA at Atlantic Terminal Mall will feature music classes, building stations and a bouncy house! More highlights of the week include a Suzi Shelton kids concert at Time Out Market, Harajuku Market at Industry City, and more music shows, story times, nature programs, and events for tweens and teens. Community Access Thursdays at Brooklyn Children’s Museum | Crown Heights

Explore some of the museum’s most-loved exhibits, including toddler-favorite Totally Tots, the miniature shops of World Brooklyn, our NEST kids’ climber, and more. Then check out ColorLab, the family art studio located on the 2nd floor of the Museum, where artists of all ages can explore, make, and celebrate art. Plus, say hello to BCM’s live animals at Animal Encounters, which repeats twice, first from 3:00-3:20pm and again from 3:45-4:05 pm. It’s recommended that you reserve your tickets in advance online. Join for Sofar Sounds pop-up concerts at Roebeling Rink on Thursday evenings, January 8 through January 29. If you’re just looking to enjoy the performance, tickets are free; if you’d like to skate, tickets are $16 for a 60-minute session on the ice. The performance starts at 7pm, offering two surprise artists each evening, and concluding by 9pm.

TODDLERTOPIA is coming! Brooklyn Bridge Parents is hosting a morning full of fun and discovery for toddlers and preschoolers ages 0 to 5 years old in Downtown Brooklyn. Little adventurers can dive into hands-on activities, from lively music classes and creative building stations to a giant ball pit and plenty of other playful surprises. Families can also explore resources for young families, preschool and daycare options, discover new ways to learn and play while having a blast. You can find us on the ground floor event space of Atlantic Terminal Mall, next door to Nike, directly across from Barclays Center.

parkrun is a free, worldwide, weekly event where people of all ages and abilities walk, jog, run, or volunteer in a 5k event on Saturday mornings–in Brooklyn, you can join every week in Brooklyn Bridge Park! Families register online and receive a barcode which will record their time. All ages are welcome, and there is a coffee and catch-up after each run!

This club is designed for neurodiverse girls ages 9–12 who are interested in learning more about anime. However, all are welcome!
