This year Green Ivy made a firm commitment to growth and expansion by joining the KSS Immersion family. Now, we are taking the first large step toward that goal and expanding Battery Park Montessori (sister school to Pine Street School) effective Fall 2023.This expansion comes as we near Battery Park Montessori’s 10th Year Anniversary – truly a moment to celebrate both our legacy and our future! This expansion is important for families of all ages, because Battery Park Montessori was designed as Pine Street School’s sister school – the ideal place for children to transition to when they are ready for Kindergarten or 1st Grade.
The continuity of constructivist practice, alignment of school cultures, collaboration among teachers and leadership across both schools, and ease with which families can move from preschool to elementary without having to shop for a new school are all part of the thoughtful design of this unique “sisterhood.” This is an early announcement, and we still have many steps ahead to satisfy Department of Health requirements. With that said, we ask that everyone keep in mind that we may have to delay or revise our plan if we encounter any surprises.
