Brooklyn Prospect Charter School opens District 15 elementary school

Brooklyn Prospect Charter School will open a new elementary school in District 15 in September 2020. The tuition-free Charter School with an elementary school in Downtown Brooklyn and a middle school in Clinton Hill (District 13) will be located in Windsor Terrace. The school will be co-located with their high school at 3002 Fort Hamilton Parkway for the next two years until Prospect Schools has identified a more long-term home for the school. 55 kindergarten students will be admitted in Fall 2020 into 2 classrooms with each 2 teachers. The school will grow by a grade each year through 5th grade, when it reaches full capacity. They will model their liberal arts curriculum around the International Baccalaureate program to help students connect what they’re learning in the classroom to cultures, histories, and events around the world. School bus service will be available.

Families who live in District 15 with children born in 2015 can apply until April 1st 5 pm.
