Did any Brooklyn restaurants lose a star?
All Brooklyn restaurants carried over their 2024 Michelin star ratings this year—except for one, which closed. Clover Hill, the one-star restaurant on Columbia Place in Brooklyn Heights, quietly shut its doors this fall and was removed from the guide. The acclaimed spot was originally led by James Beard Award winner Charlie Mitchell, who earned last year’s Best Chef in New York State title; more recently, chef Sam Rogers had taken over the kitchen.

Brooklyn additions to Michelin’s list of recommended restaurants
Michelin added twelve restaurants to its 2025 list of recommended New York restaurants. Nine of the spots were in Manhattan, with these three newcomers in Brooklyn also added to the list:
- Olmo (Bed-Stuy, Mexican)
- Rose Marie (Williamsburg, American Contemporary)
- Sal Tang’s (Carroll Gardens, Chinese Contemporary)
