Lots of grocery store news for DUMBO in 2019! Wegmans will be open in the Navy Yard this fall, Wholesome Farms Market and DUMBO Market in DUMBO this Spring.

The grand opening of the new Brooklyn Wegmans store at 21 Flushing Avenue will be in fall 2019. The Brooklyn store will be open 7:00 am to 11 pm, seven days a week. Wegmans Brooklyn will be a 74,000 square-foot supermarket, including a second-floor mezzanine with100 seats for the in-store market café. The mezzanine space also has a bar, serving food, wine, beer, and spirits. Wegmans stores have thousands of organic options, prepared food and consistent low prices.

The local grocery chain Wholesome Farms Market will take over the 3,000-square-foot retail at the corner of York and Jay Streets in the former DUMBO Kitchen space opening within the next weeks.


DUMBO Market, a 16,000-square-foot grocery store that offers a full deli, a butcher and seafood department, a bakery, fresh produce and fresh-cut flowers will open on Front Street between Washington and Main streets in DUMBO. The family behind Williamsburg’s Brooklyn Harvest Market will operate the store. The store is currently under construction and expected to open this Spring.
