New restaurants, bars, bakeries, and cafés that opened in our neighborhoods in June ’25

June ushered in a fresh wave of exciting restaurant openings across Brooklyn, including a new pizzeria and patio bar overlooking Pier 5 in Brooklyn Bridge Park, a new Indian restaurant in Cobble Hill, a Peruvian spot in Park Slope, and a Gowanus bakery that mills its own flour. Bed-Stuy is on a hot streak with everything from from a natural wine and oyster bar to a Mexican cantina to America’s first sloppy joe restaurant. Also new: Van Leeuwen’s Flavor Lab in Greenpoint, a tapas bar and a new location of Smør bakery in Williamsburg, plus fresh spots for Thai, Yemeni coffee, seafood, and bánh mì in Bay Ridge.

The coming months promise even more excitement: Barbuto will open at the 1 Hotel in Brooklyn Bridge Park, Stretch Pizza will expand to Domino Square, and a Bushwick pizzeria is set to revive the country’s oldest coal-burning oven.

But first, a few closings to note across Brooklyn this month:

  • The craft beer bar and bottle shop Beer Witch in Park Slope will close at the end of June.
