Aegir skating lessons | Downtown Brooklyn
Program: Aegir Boardworks skate classes involve small groups of 1-4 students with 1-2 instructors. Our team of skate instructors are all local skaters that are passionate about teaching kids and adults how to skate. We offer beginner and intermediate lessons for those absolutely new to skateboarding or for experienced riders looking to improve their style or learn new things. Every summer, we also offer half and full day skate camps for students on school break, including a half day art program in conjunction with DUMBO’s Creatively Wild Art Studio.

Basketball clinics | Brooklyn Bridge Park
Program: The Conservancy’s Youth Basketball Clinics is held in partnership with KING Hoops, NYC’s premier youth basketball organization at Pier 2 in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Join them for 2-hr basketball clinics featuring drills and games. Recommended for ages 7-17. Every Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm until August 31.

Brooklyn Dance Conservatory | Prospect Park & Carroll Park
Program Brooklyn Dance Conservatory currently offers socially distanced, drop-in dance classes in Prospect Park for ages 1.5 to 8, and in Carroll Park for ages 2-5. Classes are always engaging, and use children’s inherent creativity to keep them having fun, while moving and learning. Classes include a variety of dance styles including ballet, modern, jazz, and hip hop. Our outdoor classes provide kids with an imaginative, fun experience, all while learning real dance terminology. Ms. Allegra’s students love meeting new friends and showing off their constantly growing dance vocabulary.

Collective Play Ground | Fort Greene Park and Prospect Park
Program: In Collective Kind outdoor adult-child classes we will sing, play, move and read alongside our caregivers as we learn with Montessori-inspired, open-ended materials that can easily be recreated. We will spark ideas for learning through play at home with repurposed materials and most importantly, engage with the natural world. We are a warm, welcoming community that places family relationships at the center. We trust the competence, sensitivity and determination of young children and believe that children construct knowledge through physical and social interactions.

Creative Movement for Kids | Cadman Plaza and Walt Whitman Park
Program: Creative Movement for Kids offers high-energy movement and dance classes. We spark our imaginations, challenge coordination and rhythm, and dance all our sillies out. This gender-neutral class builds confidence and expressivity in your child while providing a safe and encouraging environment to connect with other children. Creative Movement for Kids was founded Summer 2020 by Allysen Hooks, a Brooklyn Heights resident. She is a graduate of The Juilliard School with over 15 years of experience teaching dance to all ages. She loves to share her passion for movement with children. Program: Outdoor Music Together (0-5 years) classes limited to 8 families. Your child will sing, dance, and learn to sing in tune and move to the beat through age-appropriate musical activities and instruments. In case of bad weather, classes will be on Zoom.
