First look into DUMBO’s new public library

The Adams Street Library in DUMBO is now open! This is the first new library location in Brooklyn in almost 40 years. Adams Street Library features 10,000 books, reading rooms for children, teens, and adults; WiFi and laptop lending; a holds pickup service, 18 coworking desks, two meeting rooms, public restroom, stunning views and more.

The kids area at the heart of the library in the center and raised up so kids can look out of the windows has stroller parking, stairs for story times, kids seating and an incredible book selection for kids 0 to 12 including every single graphic novel your kids will want to read.

The Teen area will feature lounge seating, teens reading section, computers and a curtain for more privacy.

The address is 9 Adams Street (you enter on Adams Street) and the hours are Mondays 10am-6pm; Tuesdays 1-8pm; Wednesdays 10am-6pm; Thursdays 10am-8pm; Fridays 10am-6pm; Saturdays 10am-5pm. When ordering books, put in “Adams Street” location on the website of the Bklyn Public Library.
