Governors Island is open for visitors every day from May 23-September 27. Ferries run from Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 6 on Saturdays, Sundays, Memorial Day and Labor Day. There is a $2 round trip fare for adults and children over the age of 12. The 11 AM and 11:30 AM ferry from Brooklyn on Saturdays and Sundays are free to all.
