PS 307 Diamonds Cheerleaders finish 6th at the Nationals

The Diamonds Cheerleaders of our local elementary school competed at the National Cheerleading Association competition in Orlando, Florida last weekend. They made it to the semi-finals, then the finals; eventually making it to 6th place out of 32 teams.

PS 307’s Diamonds went to the Nationals for the first time in the program’s 22-year history after winning first place at a regional contest last year.

Tracy Wilkins-Dickerson, the coach and teacher at PS 307, created the cheerleading program at the school over 20 years ago, originally inspired by her own daughter’s interest in cheerleading. Her goal is set: taking her team to the Nationals every year moving forward. Stay tuned!
