The Department of Education has published the school calendar for this school year.
Schools will be closed:
- Monday, 9/28 Yom Kippur
- Monday, 10/12 Columbus Day
- Remote learning for all students will take place on Election Day Tuesday, 11/3.
- Wednesday, 11/11 Veterans Day
- 11/26 & 11/27 Thanksgiving Recess
- 12/24 – 1/1 Winter Recess
- 1/18 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, schools closed
- 2/12 Lunar New Year, schools closed
- 2/15 – 2/19 Midwinter Recess
- 3/29 – 4/2 Spring Recess
- 5/13 Eid Al-Fitr, schools closed
- 5/31 Memorial Day, schools closed
- 6/3 and 6/8 schools closed
- 6/25 last day of school
Preliminary dates to opt into blended learning (from all virtual learning) on a quarterly basis are:
- October 26 – 30: window to opt-in for Quarter 2, November 16: Quarter 2 begins
- January 11 – 15: window to opt-in for Quarter 3, February 1: Quarter 3 begins
- March 22 – 26: window to opt-in for Quarter 4, April 19: Quarter 4 begins
