A legislation has passed to include NYC students in the discounted NYC ferry fair of $1.35 starting in September 2024. Currently kids and students have to pay full price either $4.00 for a single ticket or $2.75 if they purchase a bundle of 10 tickets. NYC students including high school students will receive the discounted fair of $1.35 during school days. Children under the height of 44 inches will continue to ride for free when accompanied by an adult. This is especially good news for students from Brooklyn who attend the Harbor School on Governors Island and take the direct South Brooklyn route to school but also for students who go to school in the Seaport and nearby neighborhoods.
