Bikes, Boards & Books | 5 – 12 years old | Brooklyn Bridge Park
A new bike and skateboard program at Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park has opened up. They offer bike and skateboard after school and weekend programs as well as camps. These sessions allow kids to both bike and skate under professional instruction on the state-of-the-art, custom-built bike course and skate ramps. Find out more here.
Fashion123 Fashion design and Illustration classes | 1st – 9th Grade | DUMBO
Fashion designers and educators Yoon Chang and Dorit Landau open their creative world to the fashion minded with a curriculum rich in content and techniques that encourages exciting connections between fashion, art, culture and FUN! The program emphasizes self expression and allows the young artists to develop their own style after learning the essential fashion drawing fundamentals. New students are welcome and returning students continue to advance their skills with more challenging and creative projects! Winter/spring 2022 sessions begin January 12th 2022.

Kickboxing | Warriors Nation | Ages 6+ | DUMBO
Warriors Nation it now open Water Street on the corner of Jay Street in DUMBO offering boxing, kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling and MMA for kids. The little warriors and teen warriors programs for ages 6+ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Striking aka Kickboxing) are great for self defense, coordination and team building. They are offered 4 times a week. Little Warriors schedule: Monday 4 pm – Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wednesday 4 pm – Striking, Friday 4 pm – Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Saturday 9 am Striking. Local dad, educator and magician Daniel Apolino has opened the door of Brooklyn Magic Shop on Smith Street offering magic shows and magic classes for children. After school classes for ages 5 to 17 years foster your child’s spatial awareness, enhance their imagination, develop their character, and help build their confidence. $63 per 1 hour class, find out more here.
Weaving | Loop of the Loom | Ages 8 – 14 | DUMBO
At Loop of the Loom weaving studio on Plymouth between Jay and Bridge Street, children have the opportunity to experience many things you won’t find anywhere else. Each week your child can create and experiment in a relaxed and inspiring environment. SAORI weaving focuses on developing a child’s creativity and confidence rather than following step-by-step instructions. With lots of individualized guidance, kids will be pursuing their own personal projects through weaving, felting and sewing. The after school program takes place Monday to Friday for ages 8 to 14 in DUMBO. The cost for 10 sessions x 1.5 hours from 4 to 5.30 pm is $450 (siblings discount available). Indoor soccer | Soccer Shots & Force Soccer Studios | 2 – 8 years | Gowanus
For the first time, Soccer Shots is running indoor soccer classes in Brooklyn – 7 weeks long and cost $231 per child. Classes for ages 2 to 8 years old will take place at the state-of-the-art indoor facility Force Soccer Studios in Gowanus. Soccer Shots focuses on education and character development and aims to leave a lasting, positive impact on every child’s life. Toy Design, Coding, 3D Modeling | Voxel Academy | 7 – 14 years | Cobble Hill
Voxel Academy was created in the aftermath of the pandemic. Their staff used to work in a Brooklyn staple called The Pixel Academy for many years. They offer an array of EdTech topics ranging from Toy Design, Video Game Developer, Coding, 3D Modeling & Printing and much more. They teach students ages 7 to 14 years old. The program is located on Atlantic Avenue featuring 1 Maker Lab (STEM LAB) and 7 classrooms. They charge a per day fee for Makerspace ($85 per day) and for our topics that can range from $700 – $2k depending on how long of a program you pick. The topics are scheduled in seasons. You select a day of the week you wish to attend, and select the season. For example Winter Season for Monday has a total of 10 week (10 visits) for the season, you would come in once a week.
