BASIS Independent Brooklyn Summer Camp | Downtown Brooklyn

Program: Give your child a jump-start to kindergarten by enrolling in our Kindergarten Enrichment program. We work on sharpening literacy and math skills, while also providing opportunities for your child to practice kindergarten etiquette through authentic play and collaborative learning. Students have a blast engaging in inquiry-based, hands-on activities that build upon foundational skills, such as science and engineering.

Berkeley Carroll School’s Creative Arts Program | Park Slope

Program: In this unique summer camp, campers create their own schedule by choosing from over 50 courses such as Rock Band, Ceramics, Photography, Visual Arts, Dance, Theater, and a wide variety of sports. Students take five courses throughout their time at camp and each course meets for one hour per day, five days a week.

Berkeley Carroll Children’s Day Camp | Park Slope

Program: The Berkeley Carroll Children’s Day Camp offers children the opportunity to explore new subjects, cultivate existing interests, and develop lifelong skills. Families can choose between our traditional day camp and specialty camps. Each specialty camp is devoted to a specific subject, from music to science, and studio arts to theater, to ensure the most in-depth, appropriate exposure to the topic possible.

Bikes, Boards + Books Summer Camp 2023 | Brooklyn Bridge Park

Program: From the founders who “brought BMX to the Hamptons!” The BBB camp experience is led by a Learning Specialist (whose teaching career includes: Packer Collegiate Institute, The Chapin School and City & Country School), and a former Pro BMXer. Kids will bike + skate in a state-of-the-art indoor facility, as well as in Brooklyn Bridge Park — just outside the shop doors! The indoor pump track will challenge and secure gross motor development, support self-regulation, build confidence and celebrate risk-taking. The experience of biking + skateboarding in this instructor-led facility offers an intensive physical therapy that children do not even realize due to the fun-factor! More experienced riders will take bike field trips to local neighborhoods (Red Hook, DUMBO, and Governor’s Island), along bike paths — learning bike safety/awareness. In between biking + skateboarding, kids will collaborate on projects with use of open-ended materials. Finally, there is a literacy component to the camp which includes: daily read alouds, independent reading, and more! What’s needed: helmet, water bottle, lunch + snacks, skateboard (optional). Bikes are supplied! (Helmets, protective padding and skateboards (and BOOKS!) can be purchased at the Bikes, Boards + Books Pro Shop!)

Program: Brooklyn Conservatory of Music (BKCM) is offering one- or two-week summer camp optionsStudents can enroll in the same camp for two weeks or a different camp each week. Brooklyn Museum Summer Camp | Crown Heights

Program: We welcome young artists to the adventure of art camp! Inspired by our exhibitions and collections, campers will have fun engaging with art while interacting with other campers, discovering artists, working with different mediums, trying out new techniques, and more. After five days of art-making, campers close out the week by sharing their creations in Friday’s Open Studio. Returning families, register here; new families, register here.

Brooklyn Music Factory Camp | Gowanus

Program: At Brooklyn Music Factory summer and holiday camps, kids ages 4-11 join bands, and spend their days writing songs and playing music games in our fully equipped studios. In addition, campers enjoy outdoor time every day, getting lots of fresh air and physical activity at our neighborhood park.  At the end of each holiday camp day or summer camp week, kids perform their freshly-written original songs for each other and a parent livestream,  giving them the chance to celebrate all they’ve accomplished. With BMF’s staff of experienced and warm adult teachers,  BMF campers are sure to have a safe and fun camp experience to remember!

Brooklyn Ninja Summer Camp | Gowanus

Program: Everyone wants to be a ninja warrior like on NBC’s popular television show, American Ninja Warrior. Besides being the most fun that kids can have exercising, Brooklyn Ninja Academy promotes discipline, focus, and behavioral development. The sport of ninja warrior training is for any skill level, and fosters kids’ growth and improvement, while they’re having the time of their lives. Brooklyn Ninja Academy offers half day summer sessions from 1:30pm-4:30pm Monday through Friday for kids 6-13. Three hours each day will consist of specialized training, obstacle clinics, skills and strength training, games, professional ninja visits and interactions, plus one day a week we go rock climbing at The Cliffs Gowanus.

Brooklyn Robot Foundry Summer Circuits | Gowanus

Program: Make it a summer of creativity and fun at Brooklyn Robot Foundry! Each week of this popular Summer Circuits program features a cool theme, with special robot projects, crafts, games, outside time, and more awesomeness. Yes, kids will learn about circuitry and other STEAM-tastic wonders, but most of all they’ll get silly and have a great time! Pick one theme or try all four – each day kids will get to build a new super cool robot and take it home with them for more fun! These fun-filled days run from 9-3p, with an optional extended day until 5:30p, and are open to kids 6-12 years old. Full weeks run July 3 – September 1 and individual Foundry Fundays are offered to fill in the gaps before and after.

Camp Maritime | Coney Island

Program: Camp Maritime is the premier water sports camp and academy with unparalleled world class instruction that focuses on experiential learning. Our curriculum was created by life long sailors and tailored to local NYC waters.  Our program was designed to help campers learn cool new water sports skills, build unshakable confidence, take on healthy challenges and develop life long friendships. We teach 12 Water sports including flyboarding, surfing, wing boarding, fishing, windsurfing, Skim boarding, kiting, kayaking, stand up paddling, kayaking and tubing. Casa Lu Summer Camp | Gowanus

Program: Art, Cooking, Photographic experiences, Creativity, and Fun at Casa Lu in a small group setting. Join us this summer for an inspiring creative CAMP program that offers a one-of-a-kind experience. Casa Lu Art Space offers children a multidisciplinary dynamic hands-on adventure of creativity and fun combined with cooking and baking.

Chelsea Piers Brooklyn | Prospect Heights

Program: Opening in June 2023 this state-of-the-art indoor facility will include an Olympic-level gymnastics center, two boarded soccer fields, a dedicated ninja + parkour center, and a warm water learn-to-swim pool. Chelsea Piers Brooklyn offers both Preschool and Full-Day sports camps for ages 4-14 where children can learn, play and have fun. With flexible weekly enrollment, you can sign your child up for 1 week or the entire summer. Gymnastics, soccer, ninja and multi-sport camps are available for all levels of athletes. All Full-Day camps include lunch daily and a minimum of 3 open swim periods per week. All camps include the option of adding a daily swim lesson for an additional charge.

Chess at Three | Park Slope and surrounding neighborhoods

Program: Chess at Three introduces chess to ages 3 to 103 through an engaging series of stories. By following a unique cast of characters on an exciting adventure, students become successful chess players while also exploring the foundations of math, strategy, and sportsmanship. Join us for summer camp as we tell epic stories of heroic chess battles, analyze chess moves, and play crazy chess. Students will also be introduced to the Rubik’s cube, solve puzzling adventures in our role-playing program called Birchguard Quest, and of course we can’t forget a game on the life-size chess board!

Program: In Child’s Play NY’s celebrated summer camps, kids escape into fantastic realms through great stories, creative movement, and games galore! Led by professional actors, they flex their imaginative muscles and learn theater skills that inspire self-confidence and community. Camp CinemaKidz | Downtown Brooklyn & Prospect Park

Program: Dive into the creative world of film, animation, and media arts this summer at Camp CinemaKidz.  Each week-long theme explores a unique, fun-filled topic where kids can learn, explore, collaborate, and create with their peers.  Become a super star chef in CinemaKitchen, an illustrator and animator in Comics, a costume designer in Special Effects Films; design and build your own skateboard in Skate Films, or learn to act and direct on set as we explore the great outdoors!  Each day is jam packed with hands-on learning, outdoor fun, and creative exploration with friends.

Program: Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’s DNA Learning Center (DNALC) invented summer DNA camps, and we are pleased to announce that 2023 summer camp registration is open! Kim’s Kids Summer Camp | Park Slope

Program: Kim’s Kids offers children the opportunity to spend their summers active and physical, exploring nature while taking trips EVERY DAY throughout New York City and its surrounding regions. Le Meraviglie Art Camp | Brooklyn Heights

Program: Calling all aspiring artists! Piera Bonerba, an artist and longtime art educator (born and raised in Puglia, Italy), is offering week-long arts immersion programs for all eleven weeks of summer in her beautiful, light-filled Brooklyn Heights studio. Children attending Le Meraviglie (in English “the Wonders”) will find themselves in a world where ‘art’ becomes a lively process of engagement that is reflective, creative, deliberate, and fun. Piera has designed a program that stimulates and engages the senses through drawing, painting, collage, music, dance, and cooking.  Every day and in every way she invites young artists to wonder. Inspired by what Reggio Emilia founder Loris Malaguzzi described as the hundred languages, the themes at Le Meraviglie change every week as children are exposed to the work of Picasso, Matisse, Rothko, Pollock, and others. They’ll spend the day learning to experiment with printmaking, sculpting, and textile arts, along with painting, drawing, and collage.  We will take field trips to the park, run through the sprinklers, play games, and make more art outdoors.

Program: Splat Camp is designed to be a magical experience where kids make friends and enjoy a full day of enriching and cool activities. Each week will have a different theme such as Monsters or Wildlife Week. Throughout the week kids will create fun, gooey projects like Galaxy Slime or Dragon Puppets. On Fridays, we have a camp-wide party where youth can show off work they made during the week and celebrate the fun they’ve had! There will also be time for movement, outdoor activities, and chill time.

Program: Textile Arts Center Summer Camp welcomes campers to create and connect with the world of contemporary and historical textiles in interactive and exciting week long programs. Campers have fun creating textile projects with their peers inspired by textile related exhibitions and local textile artists. Each week features a different themed project with a focus on learning new techniques and making skills.

Program: Our game-based curriculum creates an enriched (and screen-free) learning environment that teaches valuable problem solving skills and encourages social interaction.
