Subway service through Clark St. tunnel suspended until Spring 2018

Due to Hurricane Sandy in 2012, the Clark Street tunnel serving the 2 and 3 train, as well as eight other subway tunnels, were heavily damaged by flooding.  The MTA is beginning the long-planned repair of the Clark Street tunnel this weekend and every weekend through Spring 2018.

Service through the tunnel will be stopped from 11:45 PM Fridays through 5 AM Mondays.  In addition to the closure of the Clark Street station on weekends, there will be no 2 or 3 train service at Borough Hall.  However, 4 and 5 trains will continue to operate at Borough Hall into Manhattan as will the R train from Court Street.
