The Center for Fiction will open its doors in Downtown Brooklyn this Fall, welcoming readers and writers of all ages. The three-story, 18,000 square foot facility located at 15 Lafayette Avenue will place books and the celebration of story in all its forms at the heart of Downtown Brooklyn.
The 160-seat auditorium will host events for kids from Kindergarten through 12th Grade during the day. Readers will be able to browse in the 1800 square foot bookshop or enjoy books in the cafe.
On the second floor, the reading room and terrace will offer access to the library collection featuring contemporary and classic fiction. Additionally, classroom space will be available for discussion groups, seminars, and writing workshops.
